We visited The Carvaan Resort with our friends, and it turned out to be one of the best parts of our Jaisalmer trip. The vibe was amazing, the tents were super comfortable, and the bonfire with live folk music made the evening so much fun. It was the perfect place to relax, click pictures, and make great memories together. I had booked 2 Maharaja Oman AC tents for my family. This resort conned them and charged double for the jeep & camel safari (Rs.8500) instead of the normal 3.5 to 4k for 4 people. Family was forced to report first at city office saying voucher needs to be collected from there before reaching desert camp. This seems to be their modus operandi to sell higher priced services before they reach the camp. Else they will come to know of real rates from local operators. When I came to know and questioned them, they first asked us to complete the safari and then they will look into it. After that they never reverted back and avoided our calls. I find similar complaints on safari from others. I strongly recommend everyone to stay away from this resort. Fortunately the rooms we had booked from EaseMyTrip. Else we would have been conned there too. What you see on the website is not what you get.
It was truly a wonderful experience. The services here were highly commendable and exceeded expectations. The staff’s behavior was exceptionally courteous, and their promptness made everything smooth and comfortable. The food was delicious and well-prepared, adding to the overall enjoyment. The cultural program was beautifully organized and thoroughly entertaining. Overall, it was a memorable and delightful experience.
