For peace of mind, Civil Hospital Dalhousie is within a short drive (about 10–15 minutes), and multiple pharmacies line Mall Road.
Walk to St. John’s Church and Gandhi Chowk market; day trips cover Panchpula, Satdhara Falls, Kalatop Sanctuary, Dainkund Peak, and Khajjiar. Experiences range from leisurely strolls on Garam/Thandi Sadak and forest trails to boating at Chamera Lake and seasonal paragliding near Khajjiar. Sample local Himachali dham, madra, chha gosht, and siddu, or pop into nearby cafés for momos and thukpa.
Getting here:
- By air: Pathankot (PGH) is the closest (2.5–3 hrs by road); Dharamshala/Gaggal (DHM) ~4 hrs; Amritsar (ATQ) ~5 hrs.
- By train: Alight at Pathankot Jn. or Dalhousie Road, then taxi/bus to Gandhi Chowk.
- By bus: HRTC/Volvo coaches from Delhi/Chandigarh/Amritsar to Dalhousie Bus Stand/Gandhi Chowk.

During our holiday in Dalhousie we stayed in this hotel located exactly inside the mall road market so the location wise it's great choice as traveller can roaming whenever they want in the mall road market. Also the hotel service is exceptionally good! All service persons were very cooperative and take care of their guests very wel. They promptly responded to our all requests and quickly delivered their services within very short time to us whenever we asked for it. Also rooms were very neat and clean with all modern facilities. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
Just mindblowing views of the valley!! Clean and comfortable stay. Adjascent to market so you will get lot of options for food and shopping at walking distance.
Just need to keep one thing in mind that the approach road is too narrow. That too is one way so you can reach the hotel anytime but it is difficult to exit after 9AM as the exit is towards Gandhi chowk and there is market on street between Hotel and Gandhi chowk.
Best to plan it like.. visit all the attractions and come to the hotel in evening or night and crash. In the morning leave as soon as possible best is before 8AM but after 9AM it will be difficult for the car to pass.
The biggest drawback of this hotel is the parking situation. Since the hotel is located on Mall Road, the access roads are very narrow, making parking extremely difficult. Guests are required to move their vehicles before 6:00 AM; otherwise, they may get stuck due to traffic restrictions and limited space.
Secondly, I faced an issue with the intercom not working. Without a functioning intercom, it becomes inconvenient to communicate with the hotel staff regarding food orders, room service, or other amenities.
Another concern is the room layout. The rooms are situated below the parking area, and since the parking is located on the top level, people often throw litter from above. As a result, it is difficult to sit in the balcony and enjoy the surroundings peacefully.
Overall, the location may be good, but these issues significantly affected my stay experience.
My stay was pleasant overall. 🏨 The staff made sure our breakfast and dinner preferences were met, which was a nice touch. 🍳 However, getting to the hotel was a bit of a challenge. 🗺️ Google Maps directed us through Mall Road, but it wasn't accessible by car, forcing us to take a narrow back road. 🚗
