Located close to the Pangong lake the cottages have a wonderful view of the lake and the hills around it. The rooms are decent and the bathrooms are clean. The aunty makes good local food and serves hot. The area is very cold and so you have to come prepared with heating pads and warm clothes. The night sky is worth watching. The area doesn't have much ambient light so the galaxy is clearly visible. We had a lovely stay there. Thankyou for hosting us.
So we recently travelled to Pangong and were supposed to stay for a couple of nights when my father fell ill. The hotel staff were very very kind and offered to help out with gas cylinders. We couldn’t stay the night and had to descend in a couple of hours upon arrival but would strongly recommend this place for their hospitality and helping another human out in times of need.
I was very happy that we booked a stay at this place in Merak instead of Spangmik or other such places which were very crowded. The staff working there were very nice and helpful. The lake was just a short walk from the cottage. Food was good and hot water was available on demand. Overall very satisfied with our one night stay here.

The open layout of the living area allowed for plenty of space and natural light to flow through, creating a peaceful ambiance. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace, which added a touch of warmth and coziness to the evenings.
The bedrooms were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep, with the wooden furniture adding a touch of country charm. The bathroom was clean and spacious, with a hot shower and all the necessary amenities.
Stepping outside onto the porch, we were greeted with picturesque views of the surrounding nature. The cottage was nestled in a serene location, surrounded by lush trees and greenery. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at the wooden cottage. The attention to detail in the interior design, the well-equipped kitchen, and the beautiful surroundings made our stay truly memorable. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in a charming wooden retreat.
This place is totally worthy of 5 stars! Cottages are brand new, very clean, cozy and the food is amazing. Warm water is also available. The host lady is very welcoming and their hospitality is amazing.. treat you like family ❤️❤️ Another plus is the location, its walking distance from pangong lake - beautiful view away from the crowded shooting point. Bonfire was also there.. and the cottages provide excellent view of stars, celestial objects at night. Highly recommend this place.
