Not so good. The bathrooms are quite small.Hardly enough to take a bath. Also prices of meal are expensive compared to other hotels nearby.
Kindly do check the room properly as it has no fans.
I had stayed on 28 September 2025 with a married couple of two along with my friend. You will get a great view outside the hotel. But kindly check other hotel nearby.
We arrived late at night. So we had no option but to check in.
I was there in last May 2025 with family. We booked three rooms. There were big cockroaches crawling on the walls of all the rooms.. staff came and tried to kill few but it keeps coming back. Toilet was very dirty. Rooms light was very dim and as we were trying to settle down the bed broke...and we all took our luggages nd ran off. Good thing was we didn't make any advance payment to hotel...I have NVR experienced this kind of dirty hotel ever in my life...
Very unprofessional and entirely rude staff.. including managers and room services. Room service is terrible... They will argue even for a jar of water. They may ask you to leave even during midnight.. and they will deny any responsibility and will just say "we can't do anything".... Still can't believe this garbage type thing exists in sikkim. Very bad experience... This was our third and probably the last trip to sikkim.. credit goes to this type of places and specially such rustic staff
Cautionary Note for Travellers: Meylong Hills Hotel, Gangtok
As a frequent visitor to Sikkim, I recently stayed at Meylong Hills hotel. Despite initial promises, our stay was marred by several issues.
Parking was a major concern. The hotel claimed to have parking facilities during booking, but we were forced to park at a paid parking lot (Deorali stand) upon check-in. Although they promised to manage parking within the premises from June 15th, the designated spot was occupied by another vehicle when we returned. The manager’s behaviour was rude and we were asked to park on the road, which was a no-parking area.
The rooms were dirty and infested with harmful insects, posing a significant threat. We struggled to eliminate them without assistance from the hotel staff. The manager and owner displayed extreme unprofessional behaviour, lacking communication with each other. Promised amenities were unavailable, despite being provided to other guests.
The room tariff was ₹2,000 per day, with an advance payment of ₹2,000 made prior to check-in. However, during checkout, they denied that there were any advance payment, which was unacceptable. The rude behaviour towards my friends and me, particularly the female guest, was uncalled for.
Due to these issues, we checked out early.
I urge potential guests to exercise caution when considering a stay at Meylong Hills. Strict action is necessary to ensure hotels provide quality services and respectful treatment to all guests, especially female travelers.
Overall a good stay experience, especially considering the affordable price range.
Bathroom space is a bit small, but cleanliness was properly maintained.
